This week’s password led “The Gashouse Gang” St. Louis team to the NL pennant and the World Series over the Tigers in 1934 with a 30-7 record and a 2.66 ERA. That’s not all he was known for. Let’s just say that his “colorful” personality was legendary in the league and we’re sure in some speakeasies.
